I love the way photography lets me capture and interpret a fleeting emotion on someone's face to see where it takes me.

From one fixed point in time, the imagination can soar. Often I imagine myself from within this person's private experience, or else I am led to invent his/her story and thoughts.

Unexpressed thought is unique to each individual. In fact, when a stranger appears to "read our thoughts" we feel deeply uncomfortable, even violated. Whether the photograph records simply an experience or personal expression, it allows me to take flight, to live another life.

So I feel I have found the means to live many different lives within my own.
